HORSES & OTHER EQUIDAE

All equine imported into the State of Iowa shall be accompanied by an official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. This certificate shall indicate that each animal over six months of age in the shipment has been tested negative for equine infectious anemia by an official test within twelve months of importation, except foals under 6 months of age accompanied by their dams which meet the EIA test requirements. The name of the testing laboratory, accession number, and the date of test must appear on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection.
