DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey today announced that he will be visiting six counties in Southern and South West Iowa on Tuesday, January 29 and Friday, February 1 as part of his effort to meet with Iowans in each of the state’s 99 counties again this year. During the meeting Northey will discuss the status of agriculture in the state and answer questions.
Northey will host meetings in Albia, Allerton, Villisca, Shenandoah, Sidney and Glenwood. He will also speak to Warren County Corn Growers in Indianola on Tuesday, Jan. 29th and the Optimist Club in Treynor on Saturday, Feb. 2nd.
“I learned a lot about all that is going on in agriculture through the town meetings I hosted across the state last year and I’m confident this year will be no different,” Northey said. “I’m excited to hear from Iowans, both farmers and non-farmers alike, about the issues facing agriculture and the opportunities available through this industry.”
