NORTHEY AND GRASSLEY TO HOST TOWN MEETING IN GRUNDY CENTER ON MARCH 1

DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey and Rep. Pat Grassley, House Agriculture Committee Chairman, today announced that they will be hosting a town meeting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1 at Titan Machinery, 23604 Diagonal Road, in Grundy Center.

The meeting is an opportunity for Northey and Grassley to hear from Iowans and discuss key issues facing agriculture during the current legislative session.

Northey, a corn and soybean farmer from Spirit Lake, is serving his second term as Secretary of Agriculture. His priorities as Secretary of Agriculture are promoting the use of science and new technologies to better care for our air, soil and water, and reaching out to tell the story of Iowa agriculture.

Pat Grassley is the Iowa State Representative from the 50th District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2006.  In addition to being chair of the House Agriculture Committee he serves on the Commerce, State Government, Ways & Means, and Agriculture and Natural Resources Budget Committees.
