NORTHEY TO VISIT BOONE, WINNESHIEK, HOWARD, MITCHELL, CHICKASAW AND BREMER COUNTIES JANUARY 11 AND 12
DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey today announced that he will be making stops in Boone, Winneshiek, Howard, Mitchell, Chickasaw and Bremer Counties on Wednesday, January 11 and Thursday, January 12.
On Wednesday, Northey will speak at the Van Wall Equipment “Partners in Profit” event at the CITECenter in Boone and then speak at the “Agriculture’s Impact on Main Street” event in Calmar. On Thursday Northey will meet with Howard County economic development leaders in Cresco, tour National Poultry Equipment Company in Osage, speak at a New Hampton FFA event with Dr. Temple Grandin in New Hampton and visit Self Help International in Waverly.

Northey, a corn and soybean farmer from Spirit Lake, is serving his third term as Secretary of Agriculture. His priorities as Secretary of Agriculture are promoting the use of science and new technologies to better care for our air, soil and water, and reaching out to tell the story of Iowa agriculture.
