DES MOINES – The price of regular unleaded gasoline in Iowa was up $.02 to $2.12 and retail diesel in Iowa rose $.04 this week, closing at $2.13 per gallon.

Crude Oil Summary
The price of global crude oil rose this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $2.01 per barrel over last week, and is currently priced at $44.62.

Brent crude oil rose $.93, and is currently priced at $46.50.

One year ago WTI crude sold for $56.99 and Brent crude was at $62.86.

Motor Fuels
As of Tuesday, April 26th, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.12 across Iowa according to AAA.  This is $.02 higher than one week ago and $.33 lower than one year ago.  The national average on Tuesday was $2.15, $.04 higher than last week. 

Retail diesel fuel prices in Iowa were $.04 higher with a statewide average of $2.13.   One year ago diesel prices averaged $2.65 in Iowa.   The current Iowa diesel average is $.02 lower than the national average of $2.15.

Wholesale ethanol prices were down a penny this week, closing at $1.55. 

The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $1.44 for U87-E10, $1.64 for Unleaded 87 (clear), ULSD#2 is at $1.40, ULSD#1 is at $1.56, and E-70 is priced at $1.65 per gallon.

Heating Fuels
Natural Gas prices were $.02 lower at the Henry Hub reporting site and ended the week at $1.88 / MMbtu.
