NORTHEY TO VISIT JONES AND JACKSON COUNTIES MAY 31 AS PART OF “DAY IN THE DISTRICT” WITH REP. BRIAN MOORE

DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey today announced that he will be visiting in Jones and Jackson Counties on Tuesday, May 31 as part of a “Day in the District” with State Rep. Brian Moore.

Northey and Moore will visit Welter Seed & Honey Company in Onslow, tour the Mike and Julie Delaney farm in La Motte and then visit Roeder Brothers, Inc. implement dealership in Bellevue.

Shelby County – 10:00 a.m., visit Welter Seed & Honey Company, 17724 Hwy 136, Onslow
Jackson County – 2:00 p.m., visit Mike and Julie Delaney farm, 23477 Bellevue Cascade Rd., La Motte
Jackson County – 4:30 a.m., visit Roeder Brothers, Inc. Implement Dealership, 900 State St., Bellevue

Northey, a corn and soybean farmer from Spirit Lake, is serving his third term as Secretary of Agriculture. His priorities as Secretary of Agriculture are promoting the use of science and new technologies to better care for our air, soil and water, and reaching out to tell the story of Iowa agriculture.
